The Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas - Pan American in Edinburg, Texas invites applications for at least two tenure–track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor as well as several Lecturer positions.

The tenure-track Assistant Professor positions [F08/09-44] require a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or related area by the date of employment; demonstrated potential to develop a strong research program; strong commitment to excellence in teaching and professional service.

Required qualifications for the Lecturer positions [F08/09-45] include minimum M.S. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Math Education and strong commitment to excellence in teaching and professional service.

All positions are to be  filled effective Fall 2009. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
